Over 800 wineries involved in the event organized by the Wine Tourism Movement. A wide-ranging program for wine enthusiasts, starting in March and ending in October

It's the third edition of "Vigneti Aperti," an event involving the whole of Italy, kicking off on Sunday, March 17th. There are planned activities for seven months, organized by the Movimento turismo del vino (Mtv) - Wine Tourism Movement - , which will conclude at the end of October, engaging producers and enthusiasts in over 800 associated Italian wineries.

Starting with the vineyard's first sprouts

Beginning in March, from Sicily to Piedmont, with the sprouting of the vineyards, the phenomenon marking the plant's awakening from winter. This, too, is a moment to be experienced by wine tourists. In the packed schedule of "Vigneti Aperti," which will take place on weekends, there are tastings, picnics, bike rides, horseback excursions, exhibitions, and musical performances. Educational workshops and activities for children are also planned.

The youngest among Mtv's events

"Despite being the youngest of our events," stated Nicola D'Auria, President of Mtv, "Vigneti Aperti has seen increasing attendance and interest from visitors of all ages, confirming how wine tourists are increasingly seeking a cellar experience that combines tasting with the discovery of the territory and its traditions, through dialogue with the producers." The program is continuously updated on the Wine Tourism Movement's website.
