Fans of Chef's Table, Iron Chef and other Netflix-branded culinary series can now sample dishes from their favorite chefs at the streaming giant's restaurant.

The opening - a temporary one - is scheduled for June 30 in Los Angeles. Making the announcement was Josh Simon, vice president of consumer products at Netflix: "From documentaries to cooking competitions, Netflix is already famous among food fans thanks to its programs...with the restaurant, we want to create a place where fans can immerse themselves in their favorite shows." It was born with these intentions Netflix Bites, the pop-up from the streaming giant, a platform with international success that seems to be devoting more and more attention to the gastronomic world.

Netflix and the pop up in Los Angeles

The news of the non-alcoholic beer inspired by Netflix's The Witcher series is recent, while in 2022, after the great success of Bridgerton, the TV series giant had launched an afternoon tea inspired by the saga in collaboration with the luxury hotel The Lanesborough London. Now it is the turn of the pop-up restaurant, for the time being planned only in the city of Los Angeles: a venue open 7 days a week, during the week only for aperitifs and dinner, and on weekends also for brunch. The chosen location is the Short Stories Hotel, a short walk from the famous Grove shopping center, where Netflix had already opened a retail store in 2022, featuring gadgets and clothes from popular series.

But what does one eat at Netflix Bites? In the kitchen, on rotation, are chefs from TV shows airing on the platform. Professionals such as Dominique Creen, a Three-Michelin-Star chef from San Francisco's Atelier Crenn (which recently launched a 3500-euro per year restaurant subscription), the familiar face of Iron Chef, a culinary challenge between top chefs. Plus Ming Tsai, Andrew Zimmern, Curtis Stone. Nadiya Hussain, winner of the sixth season of The Great British Bake Off-and host of two culinary programs on Netflix-is also on the pop-up menu, along with pitmaster Rodney Scott and pizza expert Ann Kim, both represented on Chef's Table. Cocktails are taken care of by bartenders from the Drink Masters series, notably Frankie Solarik, Julie reiner, Kate Gerwin, and L.P. O'Brien.
