Description

If we were asked to bring home one Italian chef, we would put Giovanni Passerini at the top of our list. Originally from Rome, Passerini has been in Paris for 12 years and has trained in some of the city's best bistros. At Rino, for example, there were loyal fans who would drive thousands of miles just to taste his brilliant dishes. Then, in 2016, he opened his own restaurant. Essential, with a contemporary cuisine, where the spotlight remains on the ingredients. Housemade pasta is a must-try, while the Roman-style tripe is far better than 99,99% of the Restaurants in the Eternal City. Excellent value for money lunch menu, in the evening diners can share generous portions of meat from a daily-changing menu: if you find the lamb loin or the pigeon, don't miss them! The wine list is in keeping with Paris' natural wine wave, boasting a fine by-the-glass selection as well. In 2022 Giovanni opened Passerina, an exciting wine bar (con cucina), next to the restaurant.
