Enotourism in Alto Adige

It offers some of the most fascinating landascapes of Northern Italy and it has always been one of the most popular destinations among Italians and foreigners. Alto Adige is a very rich country for its historical, cultural and artistic heritage. But it is also famous for its culinary traditions and great wines. Its vineyards and terroir are concentrated on a limited area of 5400 hectares. The English magazine Wine Enthusiast has included Alto Adige in the top 10 best “wine destinations” of 2016, celebrating its high quality wine offer, its touristic hospitality and cuisine.

Vinum Hotels

To meet wine lovers' request, a new hotel chain has been created. It's called Vinum Hotels and it's a network of 29 different hotels focused on wine culture. Vinum Hotels offer tasting sessions, guided tours to wine cellars and vineyards, workshops and seminars. In every Vinum Hotel's restaurant, expert sommelier can guide the customers throughout the whole menu, recommending the perfect wine/food combination. Sommeliers also have the duty to illustrate the history of Alto Adige viticulture. Some of the hoteliers belonging to Vinum chain are also professional winemakers with a direct work experience in the fields. In this way, staying in a Vinum Hotel represents a unique occasion for wine lovers to understand the entire production chain.

The hotels are spread out in 7 of the most productive areas of the region, from Bassa Atesina to Merano. To each area, its wine.
