The purpose of the Programme is developing a new professional skillset, combining sector-specific knowledge together with competences in management, innovation and entrepreneurship. The 1st level Specializing Master is a full time programme of one academic year duration for a total of 64 ECTS; it will start in February 2018 and end in January 2019. 

Lectures will be held in English at Politecnico di Torino premises and I3P incubator – starting in February 2018 and ending in July 2018. A project work on a business idea will start in parallel to the academic lectures and will continue to the end of the programme. The teaching programme includes 5 months of classroom activities with academic and corporate teaching staff and it is organized as follows: 290 hours classes (lectures, case-based discussions, technical visits); 875 hours project work.

The tuition fee includes:


  • Teaching materials

  • Immersive experience dealing with innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of food
  • Presentation of the projects to major international investors and industrial partners at an event run in cooperation with Startupbootcamp
  • Strong engagement with mentors, advisors, professional investors, business angels, and established startup entrepreneurs



After completing the programme, participants who have regularly attended the activities and reached the total amount of 64 ECTS required for graduation, will be awarded the "FoodTech" 1st level Specializing Master’s degree by Politecnico di Torino.

The diploma will be issued in Italian.

The programme is based on the awareness that - from the meadow to the table - the food industry is undergoing radical change, with the introduction of new technology and business models both by startups and within established companies. The programme has the aim of developing a new professional skillset, combining sector-specific knowledge together with competences in management, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The participation fee is 10.000,00 Euro (ten thousand/00) + 19,53 Euro (nineteen/53) as enrolment fee: the total amount shall be paid to Politecnico di Torino according to the following installments:
  • 1.000,00 Euro within the deadline which will be defined by Politecnico for participants to accept the offer for the Specializing Master’s Programme
  • 4.000,00 Euro at the time of enrolment + 19,53 Euro (nineteen/53)
  • 5.000,00 Euro within July 2018

Application forms must be submitted within November 24th, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. (Italian time).
