Le George, located inside the Four Seasons, is the exact opposite of what you may expect from a luxury hotel restaurant. Flavors are astounding, with super clean and precise contrast, prices are very competitive, and the setting is elegant and yet informal. Merit goes to one of the most talented Italian chefs abroad: Simone Zanoni. During our last two visits we enjoyed such a distinctive, light and personal twist he adds to everything. Do not be fooled by the name, at Le George there is so much of Italy – on the plate and in the kitchen. The experience starts with an amazing olive oil. During our last visit we enjoyed some crispy saffron arancini and tuna tartare and a memorable onion tarte tatin served with parmesan icecream. The delicate ricotta cheese tortelli, lemon and fresh mint, and the perfectly cooked lobster risotto were among our highlights. And do not forget to leave some space for the signature crème brulée and mandarin sorbet. Considering the quality and the service, the tasting menu for 110 euros is a super value-for-money-meal. The wine list features a huge portfolio of French and Italian labels, ranging from cult labels to less known vignerons. Ask the Tuscan sommeliers for the right pairing.
