It's not easy to propose a real Italian haute cuisine in a context of luxury and gambling like in Macao. But talented chef Riccardo la Perna knows how to deliver lots of character, soul, and extraordinarily incisive flavors. Meals can start with a tartare from Oberto Butcher Shop, but it's the pasta that flies the highest. On the menu the spaghettoni with bottarga or the fettuccine with Sicilian red prawns and coral emulsion, or the Gentile spaghetti with Norwegian king crab, basil, and Amalfi lemon. The olive oil list is remarkable, but the big plus here is the wine list created by manager and sommelier Marino Braccu is a true gem for its breadth and carefully selected labels. It simply extraordinary, with brilliant choices for every region and nation. Small Italian winegrowers, food friendly labelers, lots of hidden gem and brilliant by the glass selection: it fully deserves our Wine List of the Year in our Top Italian Restauraunts 2023 edition.
