Description

Son of a butcher, Rome-born Paolo Vitaletti has recreated a corner of the Eternal City in the heart of Bangkok. Think of a Roman-style tripe with tomato, pecorino and lesser calamint, homemade pastas or a fine crispy calf's tongue. The menu offers all the classic Roman pasta dishes, such as a generous portion of delectable carbonara made with Parisi's eggs, or cacio e pepe and amatriciana made according to the recipe of Hotel Roma, the birthplace of the dish in Amatrice, which was destroyed in the devastating earthquake in August 2016. Many rustic, simple and traditional dishes, such as coda alla vaccinara (oxtail stew) or porchetta pork roast. There's also a solid changing selection of about 10 wines by the glass and many rare bottles sold at competitive prices, as well as Italian craft beers and a handful of cocktails.
