Every Italian who lives in Shanghai knows Da Marco. Da Marco means casa. The owner Marco opened this place 20 years ago, he is the pioneer who was brave enough to introduce Italian cusine to then just opened chinese society, his restaurant has been an institution for decades promoting authentic Italian cusine and chefs, also deeply loved by all the Italian expats, some even name it 'little Italy' in shanghai. The menu is pretty muck stick to the traditions, the atmosphere is very relaxed and enjoyble. During our last visit we had a proper impepata di cozze (pepperd mussels soup) and a very satisfying chicken with home-style potatoes. Simple and very well made. Plus, a good quality price ratio.
