We returned to visit chef Federico Zanellato and sommelier Michela Boncagni’s place, latest winner of the Restaurant of the Year in the 2019 edition of this guide. And we can only confirm the goodness of a fantastic menu that shows complexity, diversity of stylistic tones and flavours. There is Japanese influence and entirely Italian manual skill, for a dream-worthy experience. Among the tastings we strongly recommend the initial sushi sampler, including the fantastic sea urchin and truffles, or the shrimp and caviar, and a mouth-watering tart. We continued with fantastic tagliolini with truffles, and the agnolotti were to die for. Top quality wagyu as well as desserts with wise play on textures and a sugar content that’s always contained. Perfect service, Michela has built a brilliant, effective cellar, she is a perfect queen of the room and the recommended pairings are always spot on. We visited many restaurants in the city, but this one was love at first sight.
